BlueIris UI3 + Timeline + Dead-Air skipping not working?

In the latest update I have (5.7.0.3) the UI3 web page shows the Timeline option. It works until I select the skip dead-air option. When selected the timeline does what it is supposed to do except that it always thinks it found dead air only a few seconds after a video clip starts. It is as if it is having problems with dead-air detection.

Is anyone else seeing this?

Update: the timeline playback appears to "detect" dead-air every 4 seconds. This 4 seconds is regardless of how fast or slow the playback is. Always 4 seconds.

Ideas? Anyone? Bueller?
