Hello everyone! Since various bird species often rest on the rooftop of my new home, I became curious about their identities. Most standard cameras don’t have the capability to detect or identify birds, so I recently built a dedicated monitoring system using Frigate's AI features. When birds visit, the system captures snapshots and sends notifications. I also integrated an LLM to help identify the bird species. It has been a fascinating journey, and I’ve learned a lot through the process. In the future, I plan to explore ways to integrate more IoT devices for even more interesting applications.
