This is a dream for me, I really wish I had more budget just to add cameras (and better angles on entrance to HOA etc), because I think it would only take a couple times of catching criminals coming into the neighborhood to vandalize, steal or whatever to raise awareness and act as deterrent. The might just switch to hoodies and such, but they also might steer clear and look for easier target neighborhoods. But I would need like a 50 foot tower in my backyard with wireless backhauls and all the outdoor equipment mounted at the 3 primary entry points and dozen intersections - something the HOA would have to pay for (at substantial cost and people are cheap) plus some people get really sensitive if they feel they are living in a police state.
