Camera will not record the correct time

I have a 5442T-ZE i am having a lot of issues with. One of the things is it wont keep the time. It keeps switching to an hour earlier.

If i hit sync to PC, it will switch back 1 hour soon afterwards.
If i have NTP checked on or off it does this. I am not sure what NTP even does butit alludes to syncing to servers. My NAS address in in there, but that of course has the correct time as well.

I am not sure what is going on.

No. I dont know why that would be required if i am telling it to sync to my PC, and it does so. Why would it switch? I do not even have the cam connected to the external internet.

It seems to have fixed it though. Sigh. I realize more I am not the intended market evertime i am in the settings. I wanted a very good video surveillance camera but I am really struggling with the firmware here.

I assume you turn it on and off sometimes? Then DST settings kick in and adjust according to settings.
