Have a recorder with 8 channels to which a number of cameras are connected via POE, so utp cable.
I still have some older cameras that I would like to connect to this recorder, is this possible? and if yes, what do I need for this?
Attached photo of type of camera and recorder.
ENGLISH:
The camera is analog, with a composite video output.
The NVR is a POE NVR which has no analog input and only works with IP (digital video stream) cameras.
You would need an encoder to convert the camera's analog output to a digital stream and they are very expensive.
It would be cheaper to buy a new POE IP camera suited for that NVR and you could have much better video quality, as that analog camera is only 720 TVL (low resolution).
You might be able to find an analog DVR to accept their input and provide a RTSP stream out on it's LAN port but you'd still have to get the NVR to be able to accept it and that could be quite a challenge. I don't think I would spend that much effort, time and money to use those analog cameras.
