Cameras disconnecting pretty often. No idea?

Weird goings-on here. I can't figure this out.
System is a new PC only running BI. Netgear GS316pp poe+ 16 switch. 8 cameras in all hooked in right now. All cables are weatherproofed.
Never had this disconnect issue until I switched from the lorex nvr. Seems like it's generally the same cameras over and over, and almost always in order. The PC is a i7-11700, mid size case, CPU runs at 8-12%, BI as a service, temps run 30-35C all the time. Nvidia 3060 12g Vision card in there as well. All temps stay steady. Nothing notable in the router log either. Only 1 line entry for one camera on one occurrence for all of this, a disconnect/reconnect.

What happens if you unplug all but CAM 1?
If no issue with single CAM present add another and check. Rinse repeat see what happens.

Is there anything about CAM 1, 2, 4, 6 & 7 that sets them apart from the others? Are they on longer cable runs or different firmware to the others?

Looks like the ones dropping are the higher MP cams with a higher bitrate.

What are your video settings in the camera GUI (FPS/iFrames, CBR/VBR).

Do the outages happen at the same time that motion is detected and are the cameras switching from substream to main stream at this time?

Was just going to comment, all cameras dropping are 8mp listed. All fps are set to 15. Don't see where motion is detected triggering this.

Also all cameras, although 4 different models total, are set to direct to disc, bvr.
Cam 1, cam 4, cam 7 are Lorex LNE8964ab.
Cam 5, cam 8 are Lorex LNE4422b.
Cam 2, cam 6 is Lorex LNE8963b.
Cam 3 is Lorex LNZ44p4b.
Cam 3,5,8 never dropped.

Have not checked firmware of each, but diff model cameras. All cables are 100 ft, none are pinched or damaged. All go under house, through the same hole, and in the crawl space head out to their respective corners. They go out from under the house above the underpinning, up the corner of the house, tucked into the vinyl siding corner piece, and under eaves to their camera. Extra cable is loosely laying/coiled near their corner, or under the drophole under the floor, under the house.
Forgot to mention, BI is running on an SSD, 1tb, and clips are archived to a WD purple 6tb.

Only other thing, ALL cameras have the 2 hour copy over-- (not copy over, clip size cutoff) . to store folder. That stays in line with the 2 hour drop on most cameras ??

I changed cam 1 to 3 hours, cam 7 to one hour. Going to watch this.

Especially the part about AntiVirus exclusions. Also see the BI help file about Antivirus.

More times than not, this comes back to a cable issue. Either bad crimps, using CCA cable, cable was damaged while being pulled. Turns in cable were not kept as sweeping 90's, etc.

Make sure none of the cams data is traveling through a router, a lot of routers can't handle all that continuous data.
Cameras should all be plugged into the POE switch, the BI computer should also be plugged into the same POE switch. Then if you need remote access, then run another cable from the POE switch to the router.

Yep, Looney2ns, did all that. And more. Only difference was I'm using Nvidia nvdec for the hardware. GPU still runs at around 40-45C doing that, no noise.
Because my old gut tells me somethings up with this 2 hour thing, I changed a couple cameras, as above, and am going to let them run awhile to see if it changes something.
Not sure how I did it yet, with al these optimizations I ran the other day setting it up, but my current CPU is 3-6%.

Just rechecked-replugged all cams into the POE box, just making sure.

Well, I still can't figure it out. Every 2 hours, close, those cameras lose connection. They di it while running only as a service, invisible otherwise, do it when BI is actually running and viewing cams. I'm at a loss right now.

What is that move file error in the middle of things? Kind of makes me think toward something other than a network/connectivity issue. (Unless maybe you're moving things off to a networked device.)

Or I suppose an error could happen if the cam being recorded dropped off during and wasn't ended properly. But I don't know enough about how BI does that. I'd think that a more accurate error message would say something more like error recording vs moving. Error messages don't always exactly reflect things though.

Have you ever not been able to connect to the camera GUI when BI drops them? Can you get BI to reconnect, or does it just reconnect when it decides to?

The most common reason is POE switch/power issues. How are these cameras powered? Same switch? Different?

Your bit rates are low compared to mine. I have 4 MP cameras, and they all run 700 - 1,000 kBps where you are running 500 kBps on 4 MP, and only 750 kBps on the 8 MP cameras.

Haven't been able to catch that, connecting to the camera, as it only lasts less than 3 minutes, although that's a thought to try and catch it. Would need some time to stare at the screen for quite awhile.
The cams are all plugged into the same POE switch, the only things plugged in that, except the router, and from there to a port on my router. I even switched 3-4 cables around on the POE switch to different ports, trying to change anything.
I wonder if I ought to buy and try another/different POE switch.

Not sure how to tweak that bitrate, or if I even can. I'll look into that.

Try toggling the Advanced connector settings on/off (IP Config dialog). Below are the default settings. I highlighted the selections that usually have an effect on connections. Help file has details.

And reading more, there are folks having this same problem. Apparently it's a bug of sorts. I want to make sure it's not on my end, though.

Looking over the cam disconnect log, that I posted here, it almost keeps the same order the cams go out.

Yea, I would have to unplug all the cams and wait at least 2 hours, Worth a try for testing the poe switch, though. Also I would use a port on a cam on one of the 3 cams that never go down.
What part of VA? I'm originally from Newport News.

Just switching ports may not tell you much. Disconnect all but one of the old cameras, leave it on the original port. If it still crashes, THEN switch ports. It is possible that some of the ports cannot provide enough power, or the whole switch can't provide enough power. One change at a time!!
