Hi,

Is it feasible to expect that DVRs like Dahua DVR1604HF-A-E are powerful enough to simultaneously stream 16 analog cameras in h.264 via RTSP? At the same time DVR must record video to HDD.

Background:
I have 16 channel DVR with analog cameras (700tvl) attached to it. It records video to HDD all the time.
I would like to connect it some video surveillance software system like iSpy, for example, that can get video/audio from RTSP stream.
I'm trying to understand if I can avoid buying expensive analog->IP encoders (> $50/channel).

Pls, don't suggest to move to IP as it's not yet an option:)

Thank you!

If this Dahua DVR works similarly to the ONVIF support in Hikvsion NVRs you may be able to find out from the 'Receivers' page of the Windows open-source tool ONVIF Device Manager from sourceforge.net
Example:

tnx for the idea, but it doesn't look like it supports ONVIF.
