Can I mount Wall Mount Bracket (PFB203W) on a Downspout?

Hi. I have several Dahua turrets that I'm installing and also several wall mount brackets that I've installed.

There's a couple of cameras that would be nice if I can install in a downspout. Do you think I can screw the wall mount bracket directly into a downspout or do I need to use a pole mount (PFA152) with this?

I would not mount to a downspout. Its just thin sheet metal. I would build up both sides with 2x4 or 4x4 until you were at least flush with the downspout. Then come across the downspout with a 2x4. This will give you something more stable to mount the camera too. You could also use a heavier gauge sheet metal to form a bracket that would duplicate the description above. You want something similar to this, just with flat tabs so it can be mounted flush to the exterior of your house.
