Hello,
Does any of you has experience with the above situation ?
I have a set of Hikvision cameras which are recording full time on a Synology NAS.
I am using the iVMS-4200 software from Hikvision to display realtime activity
All works perfectly and all my cameras footage are being recorded on the NAS
IVMS-4200 is supporting a playback functionality but I can't get it to work with the NAS. It looks like you need to have a proper Hikvision NVR in order to playback what ever was captured by the cameras.
As the cameras do work with the NAS (recording and playing back) I was expecting I could do the same with the ivms-4200 software, meaning that I tought it would be possible to define the NAS as a pseudo NVR into the ivms-4200 software and go from there. Unfortunatly, I do not see any parameter in ivms-4200 to set it up.
As any of you already address this ?
Looking forward for your feedback
