Cannot get blue Iris app to notify me

Have blue Iris setup. While I have the app open it will notify me. When I open it gives me all the notifications that I missed.

How do I have it give notifications on a Samsung Galaxy 8 (ish)?

If your on LTE does the notifications come through then? I've had issues in the past where android phones would not recieve notifications when on wifi, but they would on LTE. Must of been some firewall issue...

Don't get any notifications. It has something to do with the app not running. When I manually open the app I get a bunch of alerts

I have set the app to allow it to run in the background I think. Obviously I'm missing something

I don’t know about the Samsung phones, I’m using an HTC phone and had the same problem, deleting the app and reinstalling fixed it for me.
