I've had Xprotect Go running for about a week on computer side motion detect. Today I switched over to camera side motion to trigger a record event. No luck.

Here are my settings for XProtect Go

Here are my Hikvision settings

I've setup email on motion, works fine. I also ran wireshark, looking for anything on Port 1234 (generic event port), nothing showed up. Event service is running.

Windows firewall is off.

I also have a DS-2CD2532F-IS, I tried grounding the ALARM INPUT, nothing happened.

What am I missing here? Which port will these events be coming in on?

Ok, solved it.

I was on Device Pack 7.6. I downloaded the latest "Device Pack" v7.7, had to replace hardware with the cameras and I first used ONVIF which opened up a bunch of hardware alarm input options. Funny thing was the actual camera model # showed up on the "Device Driver" list.

Once it was setup, it was working.

Just for fun, I went back to Hikvision8x3 device driver and it too had opened up a bunch of hardware inputs, but less options than the ONVIF.

Good info. Thanks for posting the solution. I want to play with Milestone once I get some time.
