Hi everyone,

I have a Hikvision DS-2CD3345-I that was working just fine a few days ago through Blue Iris. Yesterday, it stopped working in BI and web browser. I changed POE cable and it's no different. I can see the camera on SADP with the right ip address and I can see the camera on my internet hub. But it doesn't connect in BI or web browser.

When I try it without poe, SADP can't find the camera at all.

Is it a bad camera? What should I do?

Firmware: v5.3.3build150803
Security: Active

I assume by status, you mean security status. I have SADP v2.2.3.6 build 20150428. I don't know if this is the latest version of SADP.

HTTP Port is still 8000. I did notice that when I hit forgot password and pressed export, it said "failed to get the key". When I try to change the ip address, it says "timed out". It seems the camera is timing out for everything or not returning any information back to the PC. What now?

HTTP Port is still 8000.
If you really have changed the HTTP port to 8000 from the original 80, the camera web GUI will not work.
Did you access it with that port via your browser, ie http://<ip address>:8000 ?

I suspect you will need to do a factory reset, unless the 3.x version of SADP will allow you to change the HTTP port back to 80.

The Hiusin PTZ cameras I have also read port 8000 on SADP but I access their web browser normally, i.e. http://<ipaddress> only.

How do I factory reset the camera without being able to use the web gui?

If you have the latest version of SADP tool ( 3.0.0.2 ) this redirects you automatically to the correct http port. The old version doesnt, so you will not get the login page.

Yes, I have SADP 3.0.0.2. I made a mistake previously. The http port is 80 on all cameras. But the 3345 still does not let me enter web gui at all. When I try to change anything in SADP, it tells me "time out". What now?

You could also try downloading their SDK demo, connecting to the camera and try configuring that way probably starting with a configuration reset.

Or could try an ONVIF app.

Might not work but worth a try :)

Maybe also port scan it just to see what ports are open.

I'm in the same situation. How did you resolve?
It turned out to be faulty wiring. The ethernet plug had wires crossed. I cut the end off and put a new end with the wires connected correctly. I also changed the POE from passive poe to a 8 port POE switch. No problems since.
