So I purchased some Hikvision DS-2CD2032F-I cameras off Amazon. I can see the camera using SADP and/or iVMS-4200, however I want to change the default IP from 192.0.0.64 to 192.168.1.50. When I type in the password that is on the back of the camera 12345 I get a failed to modify settings 2018 error. I can't for the life of me figure this out :(

Or, alternatively, you could set up a PC (through an un-managed switch) to have an 192.0.0.X ip address, then try to log into the camera with a browser and change the camera's ip address using the web app.

Try using the password 123456789abc
Of course, why would I EVER think the default password was what was on the camera, with a new in the box unit. You are a lifesaver, that was it. Thanks a ton!

I am noticing the that's the default password on a lot more units now. Guess they changed it some time ago and any new firmware will use that password

Or you could add a secondary IP address to your PC from the same subnet as you camera sits in (192.0.0.1/24) which will act as a default gateway for your camera.
