You will need edge in IE mode or plain IE to use all of the the controls in playback

I use an older 2023 version of SmartPSS lite but the newer version should work fine.

Legacy SmartPSS has some security issues with P2P and is discontinued. It’s bloated anyway

Yes, I was able to finally view live streams via the web interface, with Edge in IE mode. But I still got that error with that screen shot, that I posted above, when I tried playback. That was still in Edge in IE mode.

Ok, I'll try Smart PSS Lite.


Question in general. If the USB ports on my NVR can power the wired mouse (the optical tracking light turns on when I plug it in), then what exactly is the problem with the mouse not being recognized?

Again, the wired mouse works when I plug it into a PC.

And it's all 3 USB ports on the NVR. I tried the mouse in all of them.

If the USB ports don't recognize anything, it is likely the power to those blew - a capacitor or something. I had that happen before.

No different than when we see a 4 slot of POE go out on an NVR.
