These guys were caught by an HOA board member checking out the pool's $15,000 water heater. Not in the clip but they were confronted in the parking lot minutes after they exited the gate.

They may have been looking for a place to take a dip later that night and were trying to figure out how to turn the heater on so the pool was heated up when they returned. Maybe they were planning a late not party at the pool? I wouldn't think that they would be trying to steal the heater, but I have not seen it all yet.

Like cockroaches. Just trying to see what they could rip off. You can bet they'll be back. One kid had been there many times before, knew exactly where to go to open the door to let the other 2 cockroaches in.
Hey, I'd love to see a Doberman spend the night in that deck locker the one kid was trying to open. Those dogs don't make a SOUND, super-stealth. You find out one's on to you when you hear & feel your ankle being chewed on like it was a dog biscuit. I'd buy a ticket to see that!

I thought about that too but the first thing they guy did after jumping the fence was check the pump room / storage room door.
Yes thieves for sure. Looking for anything that wasn't bolted down. First thing the kid does is check the door. One kid in hat and hoodie, and another stays in the car with a flashlight.

Agreed. But until some of these owner/operators of scrap metal/recycle centers get jailed and fined for receiving stolen property, the market for these little tweaker-cockroaches will continue to flourish. Same goes for pawn shops. Yeah, there's laws and regulations wherein they're supposed to get a photo ID of the person and tag number of the vehicle but it just ain't happening, folks. Just my 2 cents worth.
