Hello all,
I'm very new and clueless what it comes to surveillance systems, but I need a live stream quite literally across the globe from Philippines to where I currently live in Malta. I have a farm of approximately 200m x 200m, and have been thinking of getting 4 cameras to cover most of it. My problem is that the farm is located in rural Philippines, where one can imagine the internet is not quite what we are used to in the west, with a download of 2mbit and upload of 0.15mbit.
Is it even realistic to get anything useful streamed with such speeds? What would be a cost effective system i should be looking at, as i obviously won't be getting anywhere close to a high definition? Cameras must be weatherproof.

Probably not for streaming live video.
But maybe worth experimenting with a timed FTP image upload, though even that would only be a couple of images per minute.
Would the internet connection have an upload / download cap?
