Does anyone know anything about the CCTVMAN CM03E02MWI? It's rather cheap: http://www.aliexpress.com/item/IP-camera-1080p-2mp-wireless-security-ipcam-wifi-megapixel-outdoor-waterproof-infrared-HD-onvif-home-CCTV/1605532455.html

I know it isn't likely to be particularly good, but it might be adequate for many purposes. I suspect it is just a re-badge. Can anyone identify it or comment on how useful it is likely to be for basic monitoring of a driveway?

Welcome to the forum..dont buy junk noname cameras..you are just asking for trouble...there are many good known reliable cameras available to do the job...
Simply looking at the specs, it will have poor nightvision..it has a 1/4 sensor which is inferior to the now standard larger 1/3 sensor...

Thanks fenderman. Can you recommend a low cost alternative? Basically I'm looking for something with an SD card and ideally wifi but wired ethernet will do.

I would recommend a wired...wifi will only lead to problems...
The cameras below will have both wifi AND POE options..with poe you will only need to run a single ethernet cable to the camera ...using an injector or poe swtich it will power the camera over that cable.
Here are two options...
If you want a warranty and US region camera (it is 2mp)

If you dont mind no warranty or support - here is a 3mp

The wired only version is a bit cheaper http://www.aliexpress.com/store/product/FREE-shipping-Hikvision-DS-2CD2132-I-3MP-Outdoor-Network-Mini-Dome-Camera-30M-IR-Digital-HD/638300_1397050451.html

From what I read it seems like a good camera, and the price is right too. The lack of wifi is a bit annoying but I suppose I can run ethernet...

You will be better off with ethernet...wifi is a last resort..

Unfortunately it would probably require Homeplug or something like that to get the cable out that far to my garage, but should still be a lot more reliable.

Any comment on the bullet vs. dome options? They are both about the same price. Bullet seems easier to aim once mounted, but otherwise is there much difference?
