Change Port Forwarding

Hi

I have an IP camera and I believe I need to change the port that the camera and my internet provider port forward use as the port changes regularly.

I have only had the camera a short time so I have come to change the port forward by an increment of 1 and now the app I use to view the camera cannot ping the camera outside of my home network. I thought I would just update the port forward number on my internet providers router and change the app to match this new number but it doesn't work.

Please can anyone point a novice in the right direction?

Are you using a DNS account or trying to use your ISP IP address? Best advice is to set your camera up with dyndns or the like.

Here are a few helpful guides that might assist you. While they are most likely not for your exact hardware they should give you a better understanding and you can most likely follow the same set of changes with your hardware.
