Changing firmware to English

Hi ALL, newbie here. I have spent few days to figure out if this is possible for me and would like someone to tell me if I am just wasting my time.

Background:
I have a few Chinese Hikvision cameras pre-wired without NVR when I bought the house. The model is DS-IPC-B12HV2-IA. I then bought a Hikvision NVR 7608NI-I2 without knowing that the cameras are not compatible. When I connected the cameras I have "language mismatch" error.

Questions:
1. I saw a lot of walkthrough in this forum on how to convert chinese firmware to english to eliminate "language mismatch" using TFTP, Hiktools, Putty etc. I assume this is mainly for DS-2CDXXXX cameras? Not my particular IPC-XXX model cameras?
2. Do I need to find "english" firmware that matches my camera model? every model will have different firmware? If so then my chances are really slim to find a firmware that will match DS-IPC-B12HV2-IA?

Please let me know if I am just wasting my time to find ways to make these chinese camera to work on my NVR and better off buying new compatible english Hikvision cameras.

Thank you for your help.

Worth trying is to connect the cameras as an ONVIF device.
Not all NVR firmware enforces the language check under ONVIF.
You might be lucky. Though even if they do connect, some functionality (such as smart events) will be missing and more limited than a native connection.

English firmware for the cameras will most likely be rejected with a language mismatch error.

It's worth trying to find what international model these cameras are.
What version of firmware does SADP show for them?

Thanks for the reply. The firmware is v5.5.804 n cameras are most likely direct from China version.
