Hi folks,
Don't know if this is an old idea but thought I would share.
I needed to lower my camera and was looking at all kinds of metal electrical boxes and camera mounts. I finally ended up with a cheap simple solution. Using conduit. Or in my case a conduit coupler. It's been a while but I believe it's a 5". I also found these GRK screws that are small enough to fit in the existing Dahua mount holes without having to attempt to enlarge them. You can caulk and or paint as needed. I used a coupler but cutting an exact length of conduit needed gives some flexibility.
