Haven't thought about the grounding - assuming this is required for lightning strikes around the area generating surges in the copper in the buried conduit. There's no outdoor connections - mine goes out from the house in conduit, then in the trench for 20m then up the garage wall in conduit and into the garage. Probably terminate in some kind of box. My electrician has used outdoor cable in the conduit in the trench as per Australian standard, but hasn't completed the garage end connections. Assuming this cable is shielded, so will ask the question about the grounding for the garage.
