Just made up a twin bullet combo for a full 180 view with IR illumination underneath. Cables come into the adaptable IP66 box rear entry. Figured out that my PTZ wasn’t practically covering what I needed; quite a large open area. This is just a cheap combo of 4MP cameras running POE from my HIkvision NVR. Running 2 cat5e into the box, using a POE splitter and a 2 way DC jack converter to power the IR and the camera on cable 1 and then the other camera on cable 2. Box dimensions 150x120x135. Underneath is a compression gland fitted for the cable entry to the external IR Illuminator. PTZ is going lower down near my front door to get better angles. Even my 4K hiks aren’t much better at night so this is a good combo if your on a budget.
You will need
1 adaptable box IP 66 really
1 POE splitter
2 bullet cameras 2.8mm or 3.6mm ideally to get 180 view
2 runs of cat5e or pref cat6
rj45 plugs
black silicone
6 x 3.5mm caphead screws and washers and lock nuts, cap head 3.5mm screws fit nicely in the camera mount
4x50mm screws and plugs for mounting to wall
20mm drill bit or hole saw
1 pack of silica gel to leave inside the box
1 black pvc tape to block off unused dc plugs
