Chinese HIK NVR Camera

Hi, everyone,

Is there a way to connect a Hikvision Chinese network camera to any Hikvision NVR? If not, is there a possible fix or workaround?

For context, my father purchased the camera from a surplus seller who mentioned that it originated from a Chinese company operating in the Philippines. I would greatly appreciate any guidance on this matter.

*hidden text is just the production date, serial number and barcodes.

It used to be, way back, that ONVIF could be used as a workaround to the 'language mismatch' problem, with some reduced smart event capability.
But, depending on the firmware version of the NVR, Hikvision blocked that route for Chinese cameras on an English NVR.
Worth trying though.
