Like a lot of others here, I've had a lot of problems with BI updates...green screens, half grey screens, blurring on motion etc. These seem to have "went away" for now. I actually just bought v4.0 to try to fix these things, and don't think it was worth the money or any better than v3.0. However, it seems they removed the clip "playback speed slider" on v4.0.

Can anyone tell me how to increase the playback speed when watching clips? I always HATED when Microsoft made changes to their software, just for CHANGE'S SAKE, and it appears BI is doing the same thing with these updates.

Thanks in advance.

Simply press the play button again to increase the speed. There is a reason it was changed. As explained in v4 release notes

  • The position slider in the standard viewer now uses a standard time metric for BVR files. Previously, the slider position represented the file offset position, which caused the slider to appear jumpy as frame sizes varied.
As far as your issues..first, there is no reason to update every time one is pushed..when you find a working version keep using it until you have an issue or there is a new feature you need. If you read the update release notes you will see that NOTHING is ever changed for the sake of changing..features and functions are added or improved.
V4 has tons of improvements including the timeline...he adds new features about twice a month...Blue iris is a great value and 30 dollars to upgrade to get new functions and about three more years is basically free.
The issues you have are very rare...instead of hoping that an update will solve it..try to resolve the problem.
To help you, what cameras are you using? How are they connected? what do you mean by blurring on motion?
