The manual focus settings only seem to have five different settings ( 10cm, 1cm, 5cm, etc ). Even when i had it set to manual it still seemed to be try to auto focus. If anybody has advice on how to manual focus without it constantly trying to autofocus i would be interested in hearing it.
 
I always had trouble getting good night captures (of that style) from my $300-400 dahua PTZs. Which are likely very similar to that one. So, good job! In particular, making them focus properly in the dark is a real pain.
