Comments please before firmware upgrade

Hi!

I've got 5 x DS-2CD2142FWD-1 Hikvision cameras.

They all currently have V 5.3.8 Build 151224 firmware.

I notice that Hikvision have IPC R6 EN STD V 5.4.0 build 160401 & V 5.4.1 build 160525 on their download portal.

Can anyone confirm they have successfully upgraded to the latest version?

I presume I must do 5.4.0 before 5.4.1!!

If your cameras are china region you will brick them...

How do I check that? They were bought from a UK supplier.

I'm ok, they came in a "proper" Hikvision box & they all have "WR" in their serial no.

Just to let everyone know that my camera upgrades were successfull. **ONE WORD OF CAUTION** You need to hold your nerve when going from 5.4.0 to 5.4.1; the camera reboots take quite a while before the upgrade is applied!!
