Hey Experts,
Our community is looking at upgrading our surveillance system, both camera hardware, as well as NVRs. Our community is 7,427 people, with approximately 4,096 home units. The purpose of the system is to protect community assets such as parks, pavilions, pools, playgrounds, etc. They are also are considering an ALPR project, but likely separate from this initial enhancement.
The challenge we have is that there are many disparate systems with local DVRs and non-networked systems which makes retrieval of footage challenging and alerting almost impossible.
The plan is to bring everything together, and they are looking at a cloud-based offering.
My concern is that the teams may not be as familiar with what they need, and we really are looking at a system that should be for a small town, rather than just a community.
They are currently looking at solutions by avigilon, however, I would be interested to hear what experts on here would recommend that the team research.
