Compatibility of Chinese firmware camera

If I buy one of the Chinese firmware Dahua cameras from Taobao, can I use that from overseas? What I am trying to find out is whether the mobile apps gDMSS Plus can detect the Chinese firmware camera or do I have to install the Chinese version mobile apps?

The grey market Dahua camera I have works fine to my AU/NZ model of NVR.

But it's always a gamble if it's going to work. Safer to buy the international model version from AliExpress, or EmpireTech.

I am more interested in Chinese version camera with Chinese firmware, not Chinese version camera which hacked to English firmware. I am planing to buy the Chinese firmware camera from Taobao and use them overseas, I want to find out whether the DMSS apps can pick up the camera or whether I need to use the Chinese version of the app? Also whether there is any block on the Chinese app from overseas?
