I'm going to make the videos public on youtube and point out Hikvisions response. A bit of egg on their face that they're saying the newer updated version of the the DS-2DF8236 doesn't work as well as their previous years production.
Complete Smart Tracking failure with newer firmware before and after vidoes.

Sorry for digging up a old post, Amazing how a firmware UPDATE can pretty much render a ptz's tracking abality useless.
I have a 2DF8225ih-ael with the 2022 version of firmware and it smart tracks(track and zoom at the same time) PERFECTLY for everything that comes from the left, However when something comes from the right it does NOT detected it or it does track it but not zoom in.
I have tuned and reset and reconfigured it 1000 times and i just cannot get it to work, Hik Vision africa remotely logged into the machine and could not program it any better than i could.(infact theres was worse)
I am perplexed how the old 2016 DS-2DF7286-A had it perfect (well better than most). Then this 2DF8225ih-ael with the 2022 has a "good" tracking ability bar the is issue im having at present (where anything from the right just doesnt work
Then i have a different unit which is less than 5 years old and final firmware update 2021 but has Smart Track "Tuning Mode" (Please see attached image)
