I've read that BI requires a pretty powerful computer. I have a Levono desktop i3-2100. Any thoughts if this computer would run BI and a few cameras? I have lots more questions but I figured this is a good start for me. Thanks Bentley

yes,at least a 3-4 cams i would say with 64bit/windows 8.1. My Lenovo i5 easily handles 5 cams...

This will depend on the number of total megapixels and other settings...what cameras are you using? Remember to set blue iris to record direct to disc otherwise the system with choke..

Thanks a little more about my computer. It has windows 7 home premium, 64 bit, 3.10ghz if that makes a difference. When you say record to disk is that my hard drive? Will I be able to watch the cameras live if set properly? Also if I purchase BI for this computer and it doesn't work out and I get another do I have to repurchase BI?

Direct to disc is an option the the camera record properties in blue iris (record tab>file format) that does not re-encode the image...basically it takes the image directly from the camera as is...this is fine, all other vms does the same...you need to simply use the cameras time stamps...
Yes you will be able to see the cameras live...
You can transfer the blue iris license to any pc...
Download the demo to test...
