Confused and stressed on dahua nvr camera system, miss matched ip-addresses, lost camera log in info, and no reset button

I think you are right man, I think I am screwed over. I have no easy way of resetting these 4 useless old cameras. No they don't have an SD card slot. These cameras were very limited with the featured they offered the NVR wasn't even able to change their video settings like saturation and stuff they are pretty out-dated. I think instead I am going to purchase a set of new cameras like the 4k one with the sd card slot and the reset button.

Do you have any affordable recommendations what would work well with this model of NVR? And aren't so ancient and I can easily initialize them. I already have PoE running to the spots where the old ones were.

First thing is don't chase MP. That is the common mistake most make.

4MP is the sweet spot. I don't know the model you bought, but I suspect it is 4K on the 1/2.8" sensor which is ideal for 2MP but not for 4K.

See this thread for the commonly recommended cameras (along with Amazon links) based on distance to IDENTIFY that represent the overall best value in terms of price and performance day and night. While you will notice the thread itself is several years old, notice the revision dates of the first several posts as I update them as recommendations change.

The Importance of Focal Length over MP in camera selection

All of these will work with that NVR.

I do not recognize that naming convention and a search comes up with nothing.

Do you have a link of where you bought it?

I bought it on Facebook market place for 35$ but here is what I think is the same model:

As an eBay Associate IPCamTalk earns from qualifying purchases.
In that case, for $35 it is certainly not on the ideal MP/sensor ratio and is likely a Chinese region camera hacked into English that will brick if you try to update it.

It is always a crapshoot buying stuff like this on Facebook market or ebay as there are so many fakes and hacked cameras. As long as you accept that risk that goes with the cheaper prices.

Risky move for sure, I will take your advice and purchase items with your links on that thread. Thank you so much for everything, I wish I had the passwords for the older cameras, that is my only letdown for the day
