Connect hikvision HDR to my laptop

Hi,
I rent an apartment with an hikvision HDR device, I never really used it, but today someone broke into my neighbor house and I want to check the records to identify the thief, but I don't have the password for the device and the house owner is not available for now (he's not in the country). I don't have TV or any monitor, just my laptop. Is there any way to connect the device directly to my laptop? Or resting the password?
