Connecting NVR in basement to TV upstairs.

Thinking about running HDMI cable and wireless mouse from NVR in basement to TV upstairs. The software running on my NVR is far superior to Windows or Android apps. I would like to have my TV upstairs to connect directly to the NVR. HIKVision NVR, only 4 cams.

Is this doable or am I nuts?? It would be about a 50 ft run.

I did the same thing. Also ran a USB extension cable at the same time. Wasn't sure about the wireless mouse range. It's great to view the cameras on a big screen TV.

Thank you for the replies. The USB over Ethernet is not too expensive but the HDMI over Ethernet is a little costly, but may put it on my wish list.
