Continuous and Motion Detection recording

On the same camera
Profile 1, I am trying to set up one camera to continually record 24/7
Profile 2, I am trying to record the alert when motion has been triggered

I don't seem to be able to set it up this way is it possible
What should I do.

was looking at recording the camera 24/7 and have part of the view set up to detect motion and send out a alert. To record people walking past my driveway and to record who enters my driveway. I now can look at the alerts instead of watching the days recording
i don't know what settings I changed but now profile 1 and 2 are working fine

You should not be using two profiles to accomplish this. Simply record continuous and setup motion alerts in the same profile and camera.. Only one profile can be active at any given time for a specific camera so two profiles does nothing for you...

i have now set it up like this
Motion/Trigger
Profile 1 motion sensor enabled, min duration .5 sec make time. 10 sec break time.
object detection box ticked
use mask and hot spot ticked and set up the area I want detected.
Record
Profile 1
video box ticked and set to Continuous
video format ser to Direct to disc

This looks like it's working the way I want it too, I can check out the alert clips on the screen and get a email alert. Plus it's recording 24/7
