Continuous and trigger recording?

How does one record 24/7, as well as mark motion events?
Under the "Record" tab for my camera I have "Video" checked, and the "Triggered + continuous each" option selected. The "Clips" in the timeline seem to indicate that that the length is "continuous", but when I try scrubbing through it looks like its just the events.

"Triggered + continuous each" is not what you want. Just select "Continuous". You will get a continuous recording, and as long as you have motion detection selected on the trigger tab, the motion events will be indicated.
