Couple questions about the HDW5231R-Z

I see that most of the ones listed for sale on AliExpress are listed as PAL. Will I have issues here in the states since we are on NTSC?
Also what about firmware upgrades and language of the Menus?

I messaged Andy but haven't gotten an invoice yet.

Unless you are using an analog output (which the HDW5231R-Z doesn't even have) then it doesn't matter whether you have PAL or NTSC. In fact you can install PAL or NTSC firmware on the camera to switch it back and forth. I even have a hacked firmware for some other dahua camera that lets you toggle between the two without uploading new firmware.

PAL enforces a frame rate limit of 25 or 50 FPS where NTSC will typically be 30 or 60 FPS. PAL also provides slightly different sub-stream resolution options. Most people value higher frame rate over slightly higher sub stream resolutions that PAL firmware will provide.

Awesome thanks! I thought it didn't make a diff with digital, but i was like why does it keep referencing it then? Appreciate the clarification.
