CPAI on proxmox containers? Not talking to each other

I've been playing around with the new mesh options with CPAI. If it's on windows it has no issues communicating.

But I want it working on proxmox containers. I have had no luck in getting the nodes to talk to each other. Even putting in the hostnames and UDP ports in appsettings.json.

What am I missing?

Do I need to expose the 172.17.0.... addresses to the local network? I have never done this before..
Do I need to tweak the /etc/network/interfaces file on each container.


Any advice would be appreciated

Got it fixed!
Manged to get the macvlan network working and local network IP for the alpine container with cpai joined to mesh
