Im looking at upgrading my cpu, The computer i have will only allow me to go up to an i7 2600 i currently have an i5 2400. i have 11 cameras and my system is now at 100 percent. would the i7 2600 be enough to run this with room for more cameras? i dont want to waste the money on the cpu if it wont work.

The amount you are going to spend to find a used i7-2600 (or overspend on a new if you can find), you could just buy a complete refurbed Dell or HP with a much newer more efficient and powerful processor.

Your only looking at ~20% gain in performance by moving to an i7-2600.
I had a look at Blue Iris Update Helper and others seem to use much less CPU with the same processor your using right now.
If you have not optimized CPU usage, you may want to take a look at the wiki and try to Optimize Blue Iris's CPU usage.

Thank you for your replies, The optimizing worked pretty well and i am now down to around 65 to 75 percent cpu. That will work for now. Thanks again the help.
