I'm confused about the new CVI technology. I have a PC base computer (XP) that been using the old school analog PCI input card running BI. I'm now looking to upgrade to Win-7 32Bit System. I'm interested in Ethernet POE type of cameras but I keep reading about BI using CVI type of cameras (e.g. Dahua). Can someone tell me if a PC DVR have the interface available (PCi/PCie Card or a special interface box) for these CVI type of cameras, at a reasonable cost, or is type of camera more used for a COT's DVR system. I just confuses an need some guidance.

@bataradena Welcome to the forum. You cannot get cvi dvr cards. The best you could do is use a cvi dvr to stream to blue iris. I wound not recommend it. Go with IP poe cameras.
