Dahua 4K XVR5116H-4KL-X issue with Motion Detection

Hi,

I have a problem with motion detection.
For 4 Dahua cameras, I activated continuous recording + motion detection.
On a camera, when the motion detection detects movement, I see the red pictogram on the control screen (with the two red people) but on the hard drive, it is not recorded (only continuous is recorded)
The configuration is identical for the 4 cameras.

I changed to have a better definition but I regret it because the motion detection is really bad (sometimes it doesn't even detect! And I have Dahua cameras!)
There are also problems with playing videos with IE. The screen freezes after 1 or 2 minutes (I already posted a message a few months ago)
Now I'm using Chrome or Edge for playing videos but with these missing buttons for fast forward, slow motion, etc.


I am really not happy with this new Dahua XVR.
My old one from 2012 was working much better !!

Do you also have problems with this XVR?

Ì have xvr5116hs-x and i have to say that the motion detection and ivs are nightmare. Daytime is working ok but nighttime i get 15 alarms false even by a car light even the bugs. Bigredfish suggest to use tripwire zik zak instead of intrusion and i havent test it yet.
 
What cameras exactly?

the problem isn’t likely the XVR it’s the camera and it’s IVS implementation. I’m testing an expensive ptz right now on an NVR and it too has IVS issues as do a number of folks with various models.

When it works, IVS is awesome, but it seems to be scene sensitive on some models
 
sound like a commun Problem.

Sad news...

Dahua can build poor DVR/XVR quality for low Price ??
Maybee need to find another XVR, another Manufacturer...
 
The AI models I think have SMD as well as IVS both better that the older implementations.
