Dahua Camera AI vs Blue Iris Software AI

Hey all,
I am still in the planning phase of a build and I see that some Dahua cameras have AI ability for spotting Faces/people/cars etc..
I will be using a computer/Blue Iris for recording in my build, and I understand that Blue Iris has similar AI abilities as software.

Do I need AI capable cameras if I am using BI? is there any difference/benefit between the two AIs?

I would get the AI, so I can filter on cars/faces realtime. Unfortunately many of the AI features in the camera are either or There is a could option for human detection, but the delay is a challenge and they don't have vehicle detection yet.

Thank you for the reply. I ended up making use of SmartSentry.ai which I am quite liking.
