Sometimes it is necessary to reset camera back to factory spec which is the factory default. Examples include lost password or forgot what changed the IP to from the default 198.168.1.108 to start over. After the experience actually finding the UNLABELED reset switch on the 4231EM-AS, decided to create this.
First is the Dahua Wiki. It is a good resource in that it gives instructions, however, the cameras are not included and the photos quite blurry. Instead of 5 seconds, I went 20 seconds per other discussions on this forum. There is no indicator light like on some cameras referenced in the instructions.
