Hello.
At work the admin blocked all IP's from China and because of that I cannot reach my camera by P2P using Smart PSS. In order to fix this issues he said the he could whitelist the IP's used by Dahua P2P servers, but I don't know them. Could smb help me with this issue. What are the IP's used by Dahua for p2p communication?

Thank you.

Using P2P is not recommended, as you have probably read all around on the forum. It's way better to use a VPN to the network your cams are on.

Risks aside, what you could do to get the IP for the P2P server:
  • Download Wireshark from wireshark.org, this is a tool that lets you see all the internet traffic going to and from your computer
  • Download SmartPSS from the Dahua Wiki
  • In Wireshark: start a Wireshark session on the network adapter you're using (whether it be WiFi or LAN)
  • In SmartPSS: add your device under 'Configuration/Devices'
  • Under 'Method to add', select 'SN(For Device Support P2P)'
  • Enter your credentials and a device name
  • Stop the Wireshark session using the red button top left
  • Sort the list at Protocol, and scroll down to where UDP starts
  • There should be one UDP packet with a length of 285 bytes (length could differ a bit) going from your PC to a Chinese IP address, this is the request for a P2P session and the destination IP address is what you're looking for. If you click the packet you think is correct you can see the plain text in the lower portion of the screen. There you will see words like 'P2PClient' and 'PasswordDigest'
  • If you use a tool like iplocation.net, you could confirm the country of origin of the IP address

I took the liberty to take this from our documentation. Hope this helps :)

But as jarrow has said before me. If you can, use the VPN Method. It's a bit more finicky to set up but safer in the long run.

1.device that integrates only the P2P function.

To use UDP hole punch technology for remote access, the firewall output of the device must allow the following ports:

● UDP ports: 0-65535

● TCP ports: 9116, 9118, 12366, 12367

● Dahua servers use dynamic IP addresses, their domain names and functions are:

Domain NameFunction

easy4ip.comDevice login and registration

2.Device supporting P2P and Cloud Business

To use UDP hole punch technology for remote access and normal operation of video surveillance services, the firewall output of the device must allow the following ports:

● UDP ports: 0-65535

● TCP ports: 443, 9112, 9113, 9116, 9118, 10000, 12367, 15100, 15101, 15301, 15600, 15900, 16759
