I would definitely.
I had a similar experience but no video. Still went ahead with it.

That toss may be equivalent to what the box experienced during pickup, unloading, sortation at the FedEx hub, shipping, and truck loading for the last mile.
So the FedEx driver sets his "Treatment Meter" according to his "behind-the-scenes" observations.

I've worked in restaurants, and how the food is treated & handled in the kitchen, behind the scenes, is definitely not the same as how the food is treated in the customer-facing part of the restaurant.
I always laugh at jokes like:
"Waiter, there's a fly in my soup!"
Oops, that fly slipped through! Well, there's probably dozens of flies in the kitchen!
And if the fly was scooped out, does that make the soup any safer?
ie: If the box was NOT tossed on the very last leg of its journey to your door, does that mean its journey was more gentle?

Yes, complain, so things might change for the better.
But you probably know the behind-the-scenes journey will still remain brutal....

(I sold sortation equipment to FedEx, USPS and UPS. I saw the Behind-the-Scenes situations....

It's pure laziness in my opinion and the less you know about food prep and package handling the better. But we shouldnt justify a lazy tools mishandling of things we pay for..

Can you move the camera to the opposite side? That will get his face as well! ;)

Funny the same FED EX driver probably is the same guy that delivered the camera that nabbed em in action. I just had an Amazon delivered left at the mailbox sixty foot down the driveway. Online tracking said handed to the homeowner. I sent Amazon the camera footage showing the driver leaning the package next to the mail box.

Hmm...the DB11 doesn't look too bad at all for a doorbell cam. How do you like it?

Disclaimer: I work for FedEx

That's not how it's supposed to be done. Do some packages see extreme handling being shipped in the back of trucks and airplanes? ...sure. But, everything should be treated with care as if it were breakable. When this happens, it gives a bad name to all the people who do it right. I, along with thousands of others, take extreme pride in taking care of your stuff during delivery. Frankly, I'm surprised that with all the cameras around today that this still happens. I would definitely report his ass!

I wonder how many hard drives fail prematurely because of this sort of treating during the delivery process. I recently got a WD HD from Amazon, the packing inside was minimal.

Looks like you opened the door right after it hit, missed a chance to let him know in person so he could note my displeasure.
I'm really not confrontational but I will "take the bull by the horns" when I feel it is warranted.....and that was one of those times, IMO.
I don't mean with your face red and veins popping out of your neck but just a "hey, man...would it hurt you walk a few more feet instead of hitting my @#$% door with the package?"
At the very least send a complaint with attached video and face shot....you're more than justified. :(

And you live in Memphis...who would have guessed! LOL

I grew up in the tri-city area of East Point, College Park and Hapeville, GA near the Atlanta airport and yep...my dad worked for Delta Airlines.

BTW, I do my part to keep FedEx & UPS hoppin' so you might say I am one of your customers. Thanks for "doing it right", my man.

Speaking of amazon, those folks need to know that the black reinforced tape with their name won't stay affixed if you keep letting the dispenser run out of water or feed it so fast no water gets applied to the adhesive.

I have received a dozen or more packages in the last couple of years that one side is completely unattached and one of the lids is halfway open. You also have to let the piece running across the 2 top lids split the difference so that both sides get enough tape...i/4" only over 1 lid lets the lid pop out when the box is flexed...and cardboard boxes DO flex and torque.

I think polyester tape is better, more forgiving...if you're not too stingy with it.

How far out did he start the package toss? Looks like it was light but still had some good velocity at the door. My UPS guy walks the packages right to the door but then usually does a waste high drop for some reason. Maybe he can no longer bend.

Maybe he can no longer bend.
If so, he should consider other work or else retire, IMO.

One frequent-flyer delivery guy discovered he could come up on the porch, leave the package(s) and then depart without tripping the K9 Alarm System ( the double sensor Chihuahua model) unless he dropped it. We had a short conversation about that....well, I guess it's not much of conversation when one party does all the talking but suffice it to say the situation was resolved amicably. ;)

Had an Amazon driver set packages standing up at the edge of my porch giving the best possible view of them from the street See photos. Everyone else would place them behind the columns. He did this a few times and each time he marked them as having been handed to someone in the house. Either he just wanted them stolen, or he was working with package pirates.9-6-18a.JPG9-6-18b.JPG I did report him. But it took me 30 minutes searching the Amazon web site to determine how. I have since forgotten how.
