Hey guys
I have this model camera and it gets power from poe as I can see the IR lights turn on and when I took the dome cover off I can see the power light indicator but it never gets connectivity anymore

Can these be fixed or is it pretty much toast?

I have taken it off for now and replaced it with a spare one I had
All my cameras including this one had static IPs configured on the device itself

When It first started playing up I disconnected the poe ethernet cable from it and re-plugged it in. It came back for a day but then it went offline again

How would you troubleshoot this kind of thing?

Maybe corrosion on the connection? Even if you don't see corrosion, a little amount can be the difference.

Deoxit has worked wonders for many here even when corrosion was not visible.

Or maybe the POE is going out but would accept power from the power plug.

Or maybe the firmware wonked out and a factory reset gets it going.

THanks ill try a few of those
it wont be POE going bad as I have replaced the camera with a spare and its been solid for a whole week

How would I factory reset it if I cannot connect to it?

So if you happen to look at the pins in the end of the socket and they are clean even semi clean, I would take the camera apart and test the connecter with a Multi Meter if you have one prefer one with Beep.. After testing all the 8 pins if they are all good you will want to test this in a few ways. First if you can see how the cable bends when you have it in the Back box If you have one or however it is normally positioned you will want to test it a few times because cameras at time if the cables are left free air for sure can get wind whipped and brake wires Rare but happens if they are all good in all position then the next issue would be Ethernet Transformer.. This is normally a 16pin little black box that has some very fine wires inside passing though a core.. Normally a camera is powered and data on pins 1, 2, 3, 6 and when a camera that powers on if in fact pin 2 is damaged or the Ethernet Transformer is dead that is because the POE Switch or NVR is now powering the camera over 4, 5, 7, 8 pins and there is no data flow on them pairs.. This is a picture of one from a Camera from 2018. This one isn't damaged but I just removed so you could see what I am talking about. If the one you are working with is bad one or more of the wires in the cores will be BLACK and appear burnt.
