Dahua DHI-XVR5116HS-S2 DNS problem (NTP and SMTP)

Hello everyone. New to the forum.

I have a Dahua DHI-XVR5116HS-S2 that I'm trying to make it sync to NTP and configure an SMTP account for alerts. P2P works and I'm able to directly access the DVR via port forwarding.

I'm trying to set up an SMTP account for alerts but every time the test fails. I've correctly configured the gmail application password and tested it on another device. Also, the DVR doesn't seem to be syncing the time via NTP, so I suspect that there may be something wrong with the firmware's DNS resolution.

Has anyone experienced the same problems? I've tried to find a FW update for the system, but it keeps failing.
