Will I get water damage when I mount a Dahua Dome (HDBW3241F) sideways to wall instead of the adviced upside mounting instruction in combination with the "PFB204W Wall Mount Bracket"?
Mounted sideways to the wall is less noticeable in my current cam situation.
Many thanks for the advice.

Quick photoshop with random wall photo from the internet :) to make my question clear

Dome cameras are tricky when mounted outside. More so if they're mounted vertical in a non-rainproof spot. You could look into something like the PFA200W, which is a raincover for Dahua Dome cameras.

On a sidenote, the camera in your picture appears to be a HDBW3441F-AS-M, which is fine for mounting outside. It goes well with the PFB204W too. As with all dome cameras, when you open and close them, make sure that the rubber seal has a snug fit and keep in mind that junction boxes can fill with rainwater too.
