I got my cameras in today. I have two of these IPC-HDW2231R-ZS

I have an old Netgear N300 router I'm trying to use for an offline (no internet) setup along with a BV-Tech 4-Port PoE+ Switch and a PC with Blue Iris.

Should it be very difficult to modify the IP addresses after initializing the cameras?

I'm having issues with the cameras/software (ConfigTool) not being able to modify the IP addresses to match my LAN.

I must be overlooking something..

*Update: I've got something going here. Took me long enough. I tried a different starting IP address (x.x.x.20) and it's working now.. or at least I've got my two IP addresses for the cameras.

**Yep, working just fine now.

What do you need the router for?
Connect the PC to the BV-Tech uplink port, and ONE camera to a POE port. On the PC, go to the ethernet adapter properties, and change the IPv4 address to 192.168.1.1. Connect to the camera via 192.168.1.108 and do the initial setup there, and change the static IP of the camera to something else on the same subnet (eg 192.168.1.100 just not 192.168.1.108). Now plug in the 2nd camera, connect via 192.168.1.108, change 2nd camera IP to something different than the 1st(eg 192.168.1.101).

I'm adding my fourth camera and want to get rid of the unnecessary router. I have the switch connected to my PC and Config Tool reads the cameras. I unhooked all but one and even though Config Tool sees it I can't connect to it in a web browser or BI or even ping it from CMD prompt.

What am I missing?

I initialized and set the IP address of my new camera before I unhooked from the router.

My IP addresses for the cameras are:

192.168.1.20
192.168.1.21
192.168.1.22
192.168.1.23

IP Config Tool sees them but nothing else does.
