Dahuas and HIK cameras after black and Brown painting

I painted several cameras to make them more discreet, I did that with a paint gun and a 2K paint.

Models are : DAHUA IPC-HFW5231E-Z5 / DAHUA IPC-HDW5231R-Z / Hikvision DS-2CD2H85FWD-IZS

Nice. Did you presand/scuff the surface? Any particular primer? Or just mask-n-shoot? They look very well done. Good job!

Looks really nice. Any chance that the paint can have an adverse effect on heat dissipation?

Excellent job. Can you tell me how you masked around the lens and IR LEDs and got such good results? Did you cover them with masking tape and then trim off the excess tape with a razor or use some other method?

I like the paint jobs on the cameras a lot. I've thought about it myself & the only drawback I could come up with would be warranty coverage. I don't know if the camera companies would use that as a way out of covering their warranty or not. Regardless, I guess it depends on if you're willing to risk it. For a sub $150 camera, I think I'd go ahead & risk it. It looks awesome and well worth the cost of possibly losing the warranty. For a camera that's several hundred dollars,.....I don't know. That's a lot of money to me anyway. :)
