Hi,
I would like to know if the DAHUA PTZ cameras can work on 24v DC, if not, how can I connect the camera to a 24v DC source without using a 220v ac inverter, or is there some sort of 24v dc to ac converter I can build.

Thanks for the help.

Hi,
you have to check specs for that specific camera to be sure it work at 24v DC or not, normally are made for 12V DC and POE.
you can use a 24V Step Down To 12V 1A DC-DC Converter waterproof or not.
like this for example:

What is the exact model number of the camera?

P.S. - Welcome to IPCT!

Hi, sorry about the delay in responding, I am from Chile, the camara model is SD 59 225 IN.
The specs say DC 12V/3A or PoE+(802.3at) ; if you want to supply with adequate 24VDC, I agree with @MyDaHua to use a 24VDC to 12VDC Converter but you'll need one that will supply at least 3 amps @ 12VDC. This one will definitely supply that:
Kohree DC/DC Converter Regulator 24V Step Down to 12V 20A 240W Golf Cart Low Voltage Reducer Buck Transformer Waterproof

Be sure to properly fuse the input to the converter/regulator and use the proper size of conductors:

Yeah, AC to DC (especially when stepping down) easier / less costly than DC to AC.
